What is LinkDav and who is it for?
LinkDav is a cloud-based task management application designed for individuals, students, freelancers, and teams who want a simple but powerful way to organize their daily tasks, projects, and goals. It works across all major platforms including iOS, Android, Web, Windows, Mac, and smartwatches.
Is there a free version available?
Yes. LinkDav offers a generous free tier that includes task creation, up to 5 active projects, basic collaboration (5 people per project), and cross-platform sync. Many users find the free version more than sufficient for personal use.
How does the natural language input work?
You can type tasks exactly as you'd say them — for example, 'Submit report every Friday at 4pm' or 'Call dentist next Tuesday'. LinkDav's parser automatically detects the task name, due date, time, and recurrence pattern. It supports over 20 languages.
Can I use LinkDav offline?
Absolutely. You can add, edit, complete, and reorganize tasks without any internet connection. All changes sync automatically when you're back online. This works on all platforms, making it ideal for commutes and travel.
How does cross-platform sync work?
Every change you make syncs near-instantly across all your devices. Add a task on your phone, and it appears on your laptop within seconds. LinkDav supports iOS, Android, Windows, Mac, Web browsers, Apple Watch, Wear OS, and browser extensions.
What integrations are available?
LinkDav connects with 150+ tools including Google Calendar (two-way sync), Slack, Microsoft Teams, Gmail, Zapier, IFTTT, GitHub, Jira, Amazon Alexa, and Google Assistant. You can also use the REST API to build custom integrations.
Is my data secure?
Yes. LinkDav uses TLS 1.3 encryption for data in transit and AES-256 encryption for data at rest. The platform undergoes regular security audits and maintains SOC 2 Type II compliance. Your data is never sold to third parties.
Can I collaborate with my team?
Yes. You can share projects with colleagues, assign tasks with due dates, leave comments, attach files, and track progress together. The activity log provides full transparency on who did what and when.
What's the difference between tasks and sub-tasks?
Tasks are individual action items. Sub-tasks let you break a larger task into smaller, manageable steps — up to 4 levels deep. For example, a task 'Plan birthday party' could have sub-tasks like 'Book venue', 'Send invitations', and 'Order cake'.
How do priorities work?
LinkDav uses 4 priority levels (P1 to P4), each with a different color flag. P1 (red) is the most urgent, P4 is the default. You can filter and sort tasks by priority to always know what to tackle first.
Can I set recurring tasks?
Yes. You can set tasks to repeat on virtually any schedule — daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, or custom patterns like 'every 3rd Wednesday' or 'every weekday'. Completed recurring tasks automatically reset to their next due date.
Does LinkDav have a calendar view?
Yes. The calendar view lets you see your tasks on a daily or weekly timeline, drag tasks to reschedule them, and identify gaps in your schedule. It also integrates with Google Calendar for two-way syncing.
What are labels and filters?
Labels are custom tags you can apply to tasks (e.g., '@email', '@errands', '@low-energy'). Filters are saved search queries that show tasks matching specific criteria — like 'all P1 tasks due this week in the Work project'. Together, they create powerful custom views.
How does the productivity tracking work?
LinkDav tracks your completed tasks and builds a 'streak' counter for consecutive productive days. You earn karma points for completing tasks on time and maintaining consistency. The weekly review shows charts of your productivity trends.
Can I import data from other task managers?
Yes. LinkDav supports importing from CSV files, which most task managers can export to. There are also community-built migration tools for specific apps like Wunderlist, Any.do, and Microsoft To Do.
Is LinkDav suitable for students?
Very much so. Students use LinkDav to track assignments, reading deadlines, study schedules, and exam prep. The free tier is generous enough for most students, and the recurring tasks feature is perfect for weekly class schedules.
What happens if I accidentally delete a task?
LinkDav maintains an activity log where you can see all recent changes, including deletions. You can undo most actions immediately after they happen. Pro users also get automatic backups that can restore data.
Does LinkDav support voice input?
Yes. You can add tasks by voice through Siri (iOS), Google Assistant (Android), and Amazon Alexa (smart speakers). The natural language parser works the same way with voice as it does with text.
How do I get started?
