By accessing or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Service immediately.

2.1 Information You Provide
- Account Information: When you register, we collect your name, email address, and optional profile picture. If you sign up via Google or Apple, we receive basic profile details from those providers.
- Task Data: The tasks, projects, labels, filters, and comments you create within LinkDav are stored on our servers to enable synchronization across your devices.
- Payment Information: If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment processing is handled by Stripe. We never store your full credit card number on our servers.
- Support Communications: When you contact our support team, we retain the conversation history to improve service quality and resolve issues efficiently.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Usage Analytics: We collect anonymized usage data (feature usage patterns, session duration, crash reports) to improve the Service. This data cannot identify you personally.
- Device Information: We collect device type, operating system version, app version, and unique device identifiers for diagnostics and compatibility purposes.
- Cookies & Local Storage: Our web application uses essential cookies for authentication and preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
3. How We Use Your Information
- Service Delivery: To provide, maintain, and improve the core task management functionality, including real-time synchronization across all your devices.
- Personalization: To customize your experience, such as suggesting task priorities, providing productivity insights, and remembering your preferences.
- Communication: To send you essential service notifications, security alerts, and optional product updates (which you can unsubscribe from at any time).

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only in these limited circumstances:
- Service Providers: We work with trusted partners for hosting (AWS), payment processing (Stripe), email delivery (SendGrid), and analytics (Mixpanel). These partners are contractually bound to protect your data.
- Integrations: When you connect third-party services (Google Calendar, Slack, Zapier), data is shared only as necessary to enable the integration and only with your explicit consent.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users.
5. Data Security & Retention
We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS 1.3 encryption in transit, AES-256 encryption at rest, regular security audits, and SOC 2 Type II compliance. Your task data is retained for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, all personal data is permanently removed within 30 days.
6. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access, correct, or delete your personal data
- Export your data in a portable format (JSON/CSV)
- Restrict or object to certain data processing
- Withdraw consent for optional data processing
